The test group consisted of 60 persons – all overweight.

5 groups chosen at random each received either 9g of a placebo (olive oil) or CLA in amounts of 1.7g, 3,4 g, 5,1 g or 6,8 g daily for 12 weeks.

The amount of fat and muscle mass was measured at the start, in the middle and at the end of the study.
The results of the study: "We noticed a definite change in the CLA group – on average 2.2 lbs in 12 weeks”, stated the scientist.
The unique point: The persons did not support their CLA intake with either a diet or sport.  Despite this, practically all the weight loss came from the fat of the participants.
